The Florida Panthers have acquired forward Matt Greene from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for defenseman Nikita Kucherov and a fourth-round pick.

The Panthers have agreed to terms on a one-year, $2.3 million contract with Greene, who was acquired in a trade with the Toronto Maple Leafs on June 12.

Greene, 26, was a first-round draft pick (13th overall) of the New York Islanders in 2010.

He spent three seasons with the Islanders, recording 15 goals and 42 points in 74 games.

The 7-foot-3, 210-pound forward spent the past three seasons in the KHL, scoring 30 goals and 71 points in 68 games.
